Business Services Department provides budget, payroll, accounting, and administrative support to the Authority; monitors cash balances, and makes investments; provides warehouse, purchasing, shipping and receiving, and mail operations.

Communications

Corporate Communications Department is responsible for both internal and external communications for OCFA. It also serves as liaison to the OCFA Board of Directors and OCFA's member-cities.

Community &
Risk Reduction

Departments


Community Risk Reduction Department, formerly known as Fire Prevention, adopts and enforces codes and ordinances relative to fire and life safety issues, reviews plans and conducts inspections of construction projects, coordinates annual life safety inspections of all existing commercial buildings, provides long range analysis of impacts on resources associated with future land use and development, and investigates all fires.

Logistics

Logistics Department provides essential support functions to all departments of the Authority. Department responsibilities include coordinating all facilities maintenance, repairs, and construction; automotive and fleet maintenance, repairs, and acquisition.

Operations

Departments


Operations Department is comprised of seven divisions and eleven battalions that include 79 fire stations. Operations provide regional emergency response to all fires, medical aids, rescues, hazardous materials incidents, widlland fire, aircraft fire and rescue services to John Wayne Airport, and other miscellaneous emergencies.
