Action Report - Santiago Fire - 7.3MB
SANTIAGO FIRE 100% CONTROLLED
Unified Command at the Santiago Fire Incident announced 100% containment in a
report published at 6:00 PM on November 8, 2007. Containment lines held and
the fire was declaired fully under control at 6:00 AM on November 9, 2007.
An email distribution list has been created to provide canyon residents with
fire updates and rehabilitation information. If you would like to be added to
the distribution list, please forward your request to pollybowen@ocfa.org. If you have any
information relating to this fire or if you have photographs and/or video taken
at or near Black Star Canyon Road at Silverado Canyon Road between 5:55 and 6:15
PM on October 21, 2007, you are encouraged to call the OCFA Arson Tip Line
at (800) 540-8282.
CANYON RESIDENTS: Please keep in mind the following
important information:
- Many hazards exist once evacuated residents return to their homes. Read or

LOCATION: Originated at Santiago Canyon Road and
Silverado Canyon Road (Thomas Brothers page 832 A2)

CAUSE: Confirmed arson; a reward of $250,000 has
been offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the
person or persons responsible for this crime.

- Eight residential structures were damaged and fourteen destroyed.
- Three outbuildings were damaged and twenty-four destroyed.
- Three commercial buildings were damaged and four
destroyed.
