Due to the extreme heat, the winds, and the added brush from the El Niņo season, Orange County firefighters have had their hands full with battling several fires in the county. There have been fires in Carbon Canyon (near Brea), Holy Jim Canyon (in the Cleveland National Forest), and Santiago Canyon (by Irvine Lake).
